These wonderful pieces are just two of the many art works on display at the Blue Raven Gallery's "Right Brain, Left Brain: Two Artist Biologists" exhibit.
This interesting exhibit runs through January 16. Katie Iverson and Barbara Terkanian combine the sensitive observation of the biologist with the creative spirit of the artist in photography, sculpture & paintings.
Shown here are two of Katie Iverson's sculpture:
"Nautilus" clay & acrylic and "Uupas" (the Inuit word for "sea peaches" - walruses) bronze sculpture with marble base.
The gallery is owned by artist members and it is very active in the community with its own support of nonprofit organizations.
