When I saw this black bear I thought to myself, "Now that's a BIG bear!" and then I learned from the newspaper archives that, yes, she is considered by the experts to be a big bear - 350 pounds. Big she is. I'm reading the latest John Irving novel and not surprisingly he writes about a bear.
