Yesterday's post featured a tiny, remarkable hummingbird's nest created from leaves and other natural found objects. Now take a stroll through a village of man-made bird houses on display at
Tohono Chul Park, a Tucson treasure. For more information on the park and its lovely Tea Room, click

My favorite place in all of Tucson.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ms. Milano and Ms. Wordsmith for posting this village of bird-life! I think I see a Little Red School House, a Casa Bonita, and an apartment complex, or perhaps condos :-) If I was a bird, I would happily live at the Park this way!...I know it once was privately owned, and then donated for preservation. Hard to believe the now BUSY intersection it is so close to! Years ago I worked within driving distance and would bring my lunch and sit alongside the 'artificial' stream. Lovely. Is that still there I wonder? I also had friends marry in the courtyard of the Tea Room, and then the reception was of course in the Tea Room. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDesr Roberta & Elizabeth, Yes, this is certainly one of Tucson's lovely spots! And Roseann's photos are prompting me to go for a visit. I haven't been there in a long while. Maybe I'll stop by the Tea Room ~
