Quilter? Seamstress?

This made me laugh because it reminded me of my Great Aunt Betty who never used bad language, ever. Whenever she was upset with someone she would say something like, "Oh she's just an old So and So!"  Ha!

400 years of history ~

These magnificent and massive carved wooden doors are dated to 1665. They are from a chapel in Michoacan, Mexico and were carved by Tarascan wood carvers. They are now installed on one of the art galleries at the Amerind Foundation in Texas Canyon.

Hosting a Kaleidoscope!

My garden is currently home to a kaleidoscope of butterflies! Mostly Monarchs but there are also a few small cocoa brown butterflies who are also enjoying the garden's many blooms. It is utterly magical to watch the air ballet of these beauties as they float from flower to flower. The garden is home to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds so there is quite a show going on!

A Tucson evening of magical discovery!

You MUST see this show! The Arizona Theatre Company's current production, Silent Sky, is based on the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, an astonomer who made one of the most important discoveries about our universe. It is only here in Tucson until November 9 and then it runs in Phoenix. This is a wonderful evening of theatre! Click here to buy tickets.
