Tucson's Bread Don ~

Here is the first in a new series ~ Team Tucson, the people who contribute to making Tucson a great place to live.

Meet Don Guerra, the Bread Don of the downtown Farmer's Market, and owner of Barrio Bread. His incredible artisan breads (baked in an Italian Deck oven) are sold Wednesdays (main library plaza), Fridays (Broadway Village - the former Table Talk site) and Saturdays (Plaza Palomino). Scrumptious bread, great taste, & super crust ~ your tastebuds will sing! Check out his website: www.barriobread.com

  1. Amazing. We used to love to go around on weekends and wander into shops in the neighborhoods and could smell baking breads a mile away and curious tourists smelled it too and we all ended up at the same place. The bread makers are always famous.

  3. I think the best summer meal is a sandwich made with juicy ripe tomatoes and great bread. I'm going to find this guy and his bread booth!

  4. Don is a truly talented baker and a good man to do business with. His breads are tasty, wholesome and certainly worth the time it takes to track him down. Try one and see, you certainly won't be disappointed. I'm making a batch of pesto to use with the most recent loaf, an Italian Focaccia. Life is good!
