Mother, Child, & SKULLS ~

There are many beautiful and interesting murals in South Tucson and in the spirit of the Halloween season I'm posting this one. I hope to hear your comments about the images of mother, child, and multiple skulls. Check out the skulls on her dress hem and on the canisters perched on the floral background. Any thoughts?

  1. The photo is too small to see all the details.

  2. Sorry. It's the largest option I have with this template. There are skulls at the hem of her skirt and skulls on the candleholder shaped cylinders around the top of the floral design. Any ideas?

  3. I think that skull imagery is a common symbol to honor their ancestors.
