Need your input ~ thank you!

Hi everyone, I have received a couple of requests to switch TDP over to Facebook. If you could weigh in with a comment about this, I would appreciate it. Would it make it easier for you to follow the daily postings? Are there advantages or disadvantages to moving TDP to a Facebook platform that you could point out? THANKS!

  1. I don't understand why anyone would want to use Facebook.

  2. I do like it where it is and I have no trouble following it here. That said there are some places I follow on Facebook as well. Tohono Chul is on there as well as the Desert Museum, Atomic Tucson, and a few others.

It is entirely up to you. Just let us know where to find you since I do love coming here.

  3. no to facebook, and you'll probably get locked into their system if you like it or not.

I'm not a fan of facebook but if you think you can reach more viewers, then do it. I do enjoy the daily photo where it is.

  5. Hi Diane, I will follow you wherever you go. You provide me a little piece of Tucson every day. It's like I never moved away.

  6. I'll weigh in to say that I enjoy the format just as it is! I, of course, would follow wherever you decide to go, but I don't see why moving to Facebook would 'fix' something that's not broken :-) Could be that I'm just behind the times, but I DO like TDP as a web page.

  7. I use FB, but would probably resist just on principle if I were in your shoes. However it would make it easier to toss out replies/comments, and I would be hitting that "like" button a LOT for your postings.
I check this page every day, and will continue. Almost nicer as it really "presents" the material instead of getting lost in a ton of junk.

  8. I don't have a facebook account so wouldn't be following if you switched. This is on my favorites and look in most days.

  9. If you really feel that you should be on Facebook, why not continue your blog as it is and then add an update to facebook to identify your latest post with a link to the blog.

  10. Hi Diane,
I like the Photo of the Day right where it is.
Facebook is a huge time and space drain. Yes, I use it a bit, but it mostly annoys me. I'll most likely drop my FB page real soon, it's just not fun anymore for me.
