Tucson was selected to receive the "Capital of Gastronomy" designation bestowed by UNESCO. Our food cultures are diverse in Tucson and that, along with the robust local farmer's markets and imaginative and award-winning chefs catapulted Tucson to the first city in the United States to be so recognized.
