Look at the lower left and you'll see a gorgeous Anna's hummingbird examining this frozen cylinder and probably wondering, "What on earth...?" We're having a true cold snap right now and even the hummingbird food is freezing. Right after taking this photo I removed the feeder and filled it with fresh (not frozen!) food.
You made me go outside and check my feeder. It was okay but I bet that juice is really cold. I can't wait for this cold snap to end. I don't mind a few days in the 50's, but 30's is a bit too cold for me.

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:
