Viva la France! This HUGE and handsome Mastiff was having lunch with his humans at Ghini's, the wonderful French cafe on Prince. He was so sweet and patient and gentle as he waited for french fries. His name is "Saathi" which means "Good Friend." Good boy!!
The photos don't do this big boy justice. He was HUGE. The owners said he was a Mastiff so maybe he's a mix of Mastiff and Lab. No Lab I've ever seen gets that big!

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:
Is that a table-clearing service dog? Look for a health dept. citation coming to the restaurant in the near future!
ReplyDeleteDear AK, In Tucson dogs (including non service dogs) are permitted on restaurant patios.
DeleteQuite right, health risk, huh! More risk from the salad. But isn't the "mastiff" a lab?

ReplyDeleteFair enough. Still not a health risk though!
ReplyDeleteJust an update... Saathi has moved to Tucson!
ReplyDeleteAlso, he is definitely not a lab. Don't hurt his feelings! Lol
ReplyDeletePlease say hello if you see us at Ghini's :)
