Everyone has their favorite character among the many black and white photo tile murals that decorate the Broadway Underpass. This massive public art project ("Windows to the Past; Gateway to the Future") is a great Tucson valentine. Steve Farley invented a process to convert archival photos into tiles and turned a display of Tucson's history into a display of Tucson's "Best Wall Ever!" Here are a few stories to give you more information about this wonderful and amazing art work. Click here and here and here to read more and to see more images! Enjoy!

Oh the good memories this blog post brings back! When I worked downtown during the '90s and drove each day from Golf Links/Kolb, I took Aviation Parkway and turned by the Bus 8, and the gentleman standing at the streetside. Thank you for the links to more information of the subjects of the photos!! I learned a lot! By the way, the Bus 8 on Broadway is STILL #8, and I rode it many times!! Thanks for this nostalgic post :)
