Winding Road Theatre - Tucson Treasure

There are so many small theatre companies in Tucson that it's hard to keep up! The Winding Road Theatre uses the stage at the Historic Y (on 5th Ave) for this show. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND their current production of Lillian Hellman's "Little Foxes." (You may have seen the film starring Bette Davis as Regina.)  This is an excellent production with exceptional performances (particularly Regina and Birdie)! Just a few more performances so hurry!

  1. I do like theater. I'm going to see Come From Away soon. It is about September 12, 2001 in a small town in Newfoundland. Planes were landing there since they weren't allowed to land in the United States and this town had about 7,000 unexpected guests. I think there is a book also.

I just requested the movie, Little Foxes, and the play from the library. Here is the list of movies filmed in Tucson that I found. There are a respectable number of old movies on the list. I remember the one that Eve Plumb was in because I was a freshman at Salpointe when it was filmed and there was a scene in our gymnasium in the movie.

  2. Thanks, Kathy, for this excellent list! I knew some of them had been filmed at Old Tucson Studios but I had no idea about MOST of the ones on this list. Tell me if you like the play - I just googled it and it has had AMAZING reviews!
