Yes, we're in the desert but plenty of resorts and apartment complexes still build beautiful water features to enhance the property. Most (maybe all) use recycled/reclaimed water. This exuberant and sort of futuristic fountain is on Broadway near Pantano at Fellowship Square Apartments.

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:
I just drove by this on on Saturday-and was glad that they didn't use coloring in their water!
