This photo captures the wonderful new and old contrasts in Tucson's downtown. On the right is the new Unisource Energy/TEP building that is making news for all of the green technology that the design has incorporated. The twin towers adjacent to it are St Augustine's Cathedral which dates from the late 1800's.
Tucson's downtown is a wonderful mix of old and new. Thankfully, the beautiful FOX Theatre was restored to its ArtDeco glory and many other building facades are getting some repair treatments, also.

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:
Something to cherish, it means that milestones are being achieved.
