Tucson Trivia ~ Lucky Lindy Landed Here!

In September of 1927 Charles Lindbergh (aka "Lucky Lindy") landed his plane The Spirit of St Louis here in Tucson. His flight was to commemorate the opening of the new municipal airport on South 6th Avenue, near the site of today's Tucson Rodeo grounds.
