This beautiful block is so lush and green it's almost enough to forget we are in the triple digits every day. I particularly loved the charming antique letterbox in front of this house.
I don't recognize it either. The area I grew up in had grass lawns and beautiful trees but it is all gone now. Replaced with gravel and plants adapted for the desert. Better for the lack of rain in the area as I sit here in 60 degree weather and rain forecast today. Beautiful picture. Kathy
Hi there, This was taken just south of Elm (near the Arizona Inn). If you keep walking in the direction the camera is pointing, you'll be on Campbell in a few short blocks. Yes, the homes here are lovely. It is one of my favorite parts of town!
AHHHH! I must have brain freeze. I went to school at St Peter and Paul in that neighborhood and rode my bike all over the area. I grew up between Elm, Tucson Blvd, Speedway, and Country Club. But my bike range was up to Himmel Park, over to Campbell, and a little past Elm(not all the way to Grant) and Country Club. Thanks for the memory. Kathy

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:
Is this an older part of town? I love the older neighborhoods. The new ones in the burbs are so barren. This makes me smile.
