Every year Tucson Medical Center decorates their saguaros with Santa hats! What a fun tradition! You'll see the stormy sky over the Catalinas in the background. Freezing temperatures and perhaps SNOW is being predicted for tonight! Brrrrr!
First time I saw them I thought it was 'cute'. I've since learned that the Santa hats keep the top of the Saguaros from freezing and hurting the cactus. TMC is pretty smart AND has a sense of humor.
I haven't been down Campbell/Kino in a few days, but wonder if Father Kino's horse has caps on his ears yet....always THE BEST Christmas decoration! Ellen

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:

So festive!! I wonder if you compared this picture to previous Santa Hat pictures of the TMC Wise Men, whether you could see if the arms had grown??!!
