To quote the Cowardly Lion, "Unusual weather we're having, ain't it?" A huge rain and snow storm blew into town and very quickly a few inches of the white powdery stuff accumulated on these sculptures. The "Seeds of Knowledge" beautify the entrance of the George Miller Library.
It looks like it's clearing up today!! All the trees and buildings are dripping from melted snow. I think the Accenture Golf Match has resumed and I'm hoping that by tomorrow we'll see 70 degrees again. I sure hope so - my garden plants (the ones that are still alive that is) are REALLY sick of this cold weather!!
That's the thing about snow in Tucson, you've got to get out and take pictures right away or you're just taking picture of drips and puddles!! This is a great photo of snow at the library...I know the area well and my daughter, when she was young, played on these "Seeds of Knowledge" iron sculptures.
Thank you, Birgitta, for visiting the site! I have a friend in Budapest - Anita Csorgo, who works for Colliers. Your visit prompts me to send her a little note to get back in touch.
Love the Southwest? Love Tucson? Every day on "Tucson Daily Photo" you'll see a new image that might be beautiful, unusual, fun, or maybe even inspirational.
Welcome!

I'm a transplanted New Yorker who loves the Tucson climate. On New Year's Day I have a bit of fun calling my (snowbound) east coast friends to announce that I'm drinking coffee while sitting on my patio. (:
Say it isn't so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
